Microtec Support DO NOT use, They have a telephone number reg: in Manchester! But it's call cent is in faraway lands. they are threating and abusive and will take no for an answer, I have reported them and is pending. I was silly in tursting them as at first they use as saling that the company is part of Microsoftnly when given details to them they then say " WE ARE NOT ANY PART OF MICROSOFT|" then it's to late.

update: a power flicker the previous day messed with my network switch and modem. I restarted it and got full connectivity back. The rogue scanner was an unrelated coincidence. No attacks by the illuminati.

What does Rogue Scanner do? No computers on my network had internet connectivity. I restarted network switch and connectivity restored and I immediately got the avg rogue scanner alert. I called my provider and they said my usage has had "spikes" of data being transferred. could these be related or just coincidence?

AVG has stopped this from trying to get to this pc three times in 48 hours. Don't click on any emails from some one you know if no subject is in the subject box...(NO Subject). Send seperate message to them telling them to put subject in box if you want to open it.
