Fixed this by runnning MbrFix : C:\> MbrFix /drive 1 fixmbr This removes the rootkit virus from the master bootsector

I tried in meantime all kind but I eventually ended up by total format of the computer. I didnot hear any comment from AVG which surprised me...

Same problem here. Files are repaired but memory is not and upon reboot the scan result is the same. I have tried the boot disk scanner and it doesn't find anything.

... AVG finds this when I am compiling applications using MS Visual Studio 11. None of my code is malicious, as I have hand written most of it, and yet, there goes AVG's alarm bells. -_-

Andy, I have simular as you with respect to red/green. When I do start i.e. Internet explorer also the ASJX shows up... I also got a strange repeating request for update Adobe Flash when I was browsing. I have purchased the full AVG so no difference. Acc. to me the virus/trojan remains to be on the harddisk. As its my business computer I dont take risks anymore and use my laptop instead rightnow until I get reply from AVG. My feeling says a total format to come.

Like Hvdpoel, I have PSW.Agent.AUET but also PSW.Agent.AUES and PSW.Agent.ASJX, all found on a routine daily scan. Worried, I upgraded AVG Free to the Full (trial) version, updated the definitions and ran the scan again. The viruses were found again. As the scan runs, a red crossed infected file appears in the list created, immediately followed by the same file next to a green tick. After the scan I have 16 threats in all, 8 removed and healed, 8 not removed or healed. Clicking on the remove all unhealed button seems to have no effect. Does this mean the virus has been dealt with or not? Please provide more instructions on how to remove the virus(es).

I have PSW.Agent.AUET and AVGdoes recognise and remove from memory but everytime I reboot the virus is still there, again AVG but simular.. Please provide more instructions on how to remove. HvdPoel@marinedesign.nl
