Users can also view a description of the threats detected, the period over which they were identified and how they’ve managed to manifest themselves over time. Furthermore, a user can obtain extensive details regarding the number of web pages infected - essential information if multiple threats have been detected.
AVG Threat Lab reports are broken down into four distinct categories, all of which offer users an in-depth analysis of the website in question.Summary: all detected threats (i.e. does the site harbour fake antivirus software, user 'exploit' links or some kind of unclassified threat?). It also informs users of the last time a threat was active on the site, giving them a clear idea as to the frequency of potential dangers in the future. Top 5 Countries reporting detections: This category ranks the top five countries where threats have been detected by AVG. This informs you as to which countries host the most threats, thereby expanding your general awareness regarding the world’s most current and prevalent threats. List of malware: Shows the list of all the threats that were found on the site during the last 30 days. Timeline: This category shows the three main threats detected on the respective site over a 7-day span and offers vital information concerning the evolution of the threat(s) (i.e. whether it’s growing or receding). It also informs users of the last time a threat was active on the site, giving them a clear idea as to the frequency of potential dangers in the future.
